Imagine having your dental procedure performed while you nap comfortably without any memory of the procedure afterwards.
If you are someone who cringes at the sounds in dental offices and has a fear of needles, someone who has sensitive teeth, or someone who is immune to the numbing effects of typical techniques you might be a candidate for Nitrous Oxide Sedation.
What is Nitrous Oxide
Nitrous Oxide Sedation involves conscious inhalation sedation, nitrous oxide gas (also known as laughing gas) used to induce a state of relaxation. A local anesthetic will be administered in combination with nitrous oxide sedation to eliminate pain. Patients who undergo nitrous oxide sedation often fall asleep and experience some degree of amnesia about what happened during their appointment.
During your visit our team make sure you are relaxed and resting comfortably. Upon completion of your treatment we stay with you until you are ready to go home with your companion. A companion will need to drive you to and from your visit and be available after your appointment to help you rest.
